Carolyn Bond writes fantasy fiction stories with ghosts and guardian angels in parallel worlds and time travel romance. She started writing years ago as a child. She was often told that with an imagination like that, she should be a writer. In college, she dabbled in poetry. Her first published work was for Middleton-Wasley Publishers which produced textbooks and study aids for court reporting colleges.
In her personal daydreams to pass the time, she had often wondered if souls of passed family watched over the living. She would imagine them with her, whispering advice in her ear or gallantly protecting their family as guardian angels. The story Between Time kept prodding her to put in on paper.
She always loved to read as a way to be carried away from everyday life, and while working on her masters degree, she discovered that writing required such immersion that it was even better than reading for dealing with anxiety and stress. She decided it was time to try to write the story of the guardian angel ghosts.
Spurred on by the fans of Between Time and being a lover of time travel stories, She decided her next venture was to be a time travel romance set in 1888 Kentucky. It was even more popular than Between Time and she immediately began the second book in the time travel series, Steam Over Stephensport. It should be published in the spring of 2018.
Carolyn Bond has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology and English from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in teaching from the University of the Cumberlands, and has enjoyed careers in education and human resources as well as numerous service positions over her life. One of her “bucket list” jobs was working in a childbirth unit at a hospital as a nurse’s aid helping new mothers and tending to newborns. Above all else, she is a devoted wife and mother to several children.
